You don't. You've already proven you have the discipline. What's missing is a structure to point it at.
Not a fit yet: early recovery, or anyone looking for a quick fix.
I came in thinking I had a discipline problem. Keeping small promises to myself every day did more for my confidence than any big push ever did.
Why it works
One day at a time. Progress, not perfection. Catch the drift before it becomes a slide.
You already live by these. I apply the same thinking to your body, so the work feels familiar, not foreign.
Most people come in with what looks like a fitness or food problem. That's how it shows up. Underneath, it's a system and expectations problem: too much, too fast, with nothing to hold it. We build the system that holds on your worst days, not just your best ones.
We don't change everything at once. We build in layers, at a pace you can hold for life.
I'm in your corner every week. But you make the decisions and you own the results. The goal is independence, not dependence on me.
The standard I coach to
Fitness sits on a spectrum. At the bottom is sedentary. Above that is movement: steps and stairs. Then exercise: the gym, a class, some weights. Then training, which is exercise with a set goal. At the top is complete training: strength, conditioning and mobility developed together.
Most men I speak with are somewhere between movement and exercise. They're doing something, but they're not building anything. The aim isn't to jump to the top. It's to know exactly where you are and take the right next step.
Strength without conditioning leaves you strong and out of breath. Conditioning without mobility leaves you fit and stiff. Real fitness is where all three overlap: your total physical capacity.
I program across nine physical attributes, from absolute strength and explosive power to aerobic power, motor control and stability under load. I train them through nine fundamental movement patterns. Nothing gets left behind, and nothing gets overtrained at the expense of something else.
Everyone declines with age. The real question is when you cross the line of independence: the point where you can no longer travel freely, cook for yourself, dress yourself, or get up off the floor on your own.
Frail men cross that line early. Functional men cross it later. I coach men to become formidable, so the line gets pushed as far out as possible.
You've fought hard for the years ahead. This is about making sure you can live them fully.
Training builds the capacity. What you eat, how you sleep and how you think decide how much of it you keep.
The method
Getting in shape is a spiritual process disguised as a physical one. Training is only one part of it. The method works across five:
Complete training: strength, conditioning and mobility, built around you.
Real food, built into the life you actually live. No extreme diets, no cutting out everything you enjoy.
The recovery everything else depends on.
The 12 Mental Models: practical anchors for when things get hard.
With yourself, with the people around you, and with the outdoors.
We start where you are, not where you think you should be.
A 60-minute conversation. We look at where you are, what's been getting in the way, and whether this is the right fit. If we're both a yes, we start. If not, you leave with a clear answer and no chasing.
If it's a yes, you get the agreement and payment link the same day. You're enrolled within 24 hours.
We take your baseline: weight and photos as standard, blood work if you want it. I build your program from there.
Weekly coaching, daily actions, and constant adjustment. Learn, practise, adjust, repeat.
The habits, routines and identity become yours. You run it without me. We decide together when you're there.
Some of this you'll see from day one. Some of it you won't notice until month six.
Some of this won't make sense yet. That's OK. It will.
You've already proven you'll invest in something that takes time and pays back for life. This is that, for your body.
12 months to build the foundation. Then month to month until it's second nature.
$500 USD a month.
Or pay for the full 12 months in two instalments, or upfront. Both come with a discount. We'll go through the numbers on the call.
About
I'm the co-founder of HactiveFit Coaching and the coach behind NPXT.
Before coaching, I spent 18 years in corporate leadership across England, Canada and Australia, up to MD and VP level. I know the pressure senior people work under, and how easily health becomes the thing that slides.
I've coached since 2008 and full time since 2018. Over that time, the men in recovery became the clients I connected with most. They'd already done the hardest work there is. They had the honesty, the discipline and the willingness. What they didn't have was the right system for their body. So I built my coaching around the principles they already trusted.
I still train like it matters. At 50, I'm a hybrid athlete working through a structured performance plan. I don't ask clients to do anything I don't do myself.

Most trainers focus on workouts. You focus on building a person who can sustain them.
